Structuring Nature: Walton Arts Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas

Let's Talk About Love: MOCAD - Detroit
An on-going project of Detroit-based artist Chido Johnson, participants submit artists' books using paperback romance novels as a jumping-off point. Settlements Opens at Ningyo Editions, November 4-December 4, 2010
In October I had the opportunity to spend two weeks working with artist and master printer David Curcio of Ningyo Editions in Boston. The resultant piece is a 7-color Japanese woodblock print with etching and chine colle, titled
Settlements. The opening and release of
Settlements is Thursday, November 4. Also on view will be the newly completed series
On Escapism and Exile, created while a resident at the Vermont Studio Center.

For the month of September I will be an artist-in-residence at All Along Press in the Cherokee neighborhood of Saint Louis. I will be working on
A Volcano Pilgrim in Exchange for Fire, a component of a new project that will culminate in a two-person show with painter Marty Weishaar this winter in Baltimore.
