In the Grove, In the Field
I was invited to be an Artist-in-Residence at the Flatbed Center for Contemporary Pritmaking in Austin, Texas. The project resulted in a new collaboration with Master Printer Alyssa Ebinger and Flatbed Press to complete three lithographic print editions. The prints created include: In the Grove, a 3-layer 6-color lithograph (key image on stone) with chine colle, and In the Field, a 3-layer 5-color lithograph (key image on stone) with chine colle, also printed as a smaller limited monochrome edition as part of the Flatbed Friends-Kollwitz Circle, a subscription program for member patrons. The new editions were featured as pre-publication proofs at the Baltimore Print Fair in March 2023 and officially debuted in the subsequent solo exhibition at Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking’s Gallery in early 2024. The editions are available at both Flatbed Press and Cade Tompkins Projects. This collaboration was made possible with funding from Georgia State University’s Pre-Tenure Scholarly Support Grant.
