C.R. Ettinger Studio Co-Publication Residency Process Shots
In 2022 I began a year-long print collaboration with Master Printer Cindi Ettinger to complete a four-plate, six-color etching with chine colle. The title of the piece is At the Watering Trough (Nasturtium). This print depicts an abbeveratoio or watering trough surrounded by nasturtium and sumac that cascade over a wall above the water’s surface. Nestled in the foliage is a hand-written sign on a plank of wood that says AEREA VIDEOSORVEGLIATA - Qualcuno ti guarda….. Which means “area under video surveillance - someone is watching you…” This edition will be released at my upcoming solo exhibition at Cade Tompkins Projects in September 2023. This collaboration was made possible with funding from the Georgia State University Pre-Tenure Scholarly Support Grant of $20,000.
